ha, Ned must have had some really good coffee and a tasty bagel on the morning he and Uncle Stu carved that one out, Ned was like "shazam! check this one out cat"
Maybe a bagel is what inspired that svelte shape!

Pavel single-cut Jazz bass. So amazing. IMO, the perfect evolution of the J design to logistical end. I would own one in a heartbeat had I the means. Someday.
Close second are my Ibby ATK 5's....

Wow! What an amazing looking bass! That should be in a museum. Seriously. So, I just googled the German manufacturer to learn more about this instrument. While I speak and read a little Dutch, my German is pretty rough, so I translated the page to English... This translated sentence is priceless: "Marleaux Diva basses are built with an extremely grumpy-sounding three-piece maple neck."

+1 Although I'm not a fan of his headless basses, Ned really knocked it out of the park with the Spector NS design. I've read about (and seen a picture) the first NS-1 mock-up. It was built with a defective SB neck and the body was made with scraps of wood. Ned put it all together to prove that the design would work. And it did! I like the jazz bass for a classic look and also have a music man stingray four string. I have a music man stingray 5 that looks good, but the classic music man egg shaped pick guard is cool. There are plenty of other good looking instruments out there.
I've thought it over and apart from my Allen Woody, my favorite looking basses are the ones I most covet. So...

No doubt, a white Jazz, black pickguard. Maple neck with black blocks and binding. Only bass I'll ever refer to as sexy. Trying to build an American version of this very bass as we speak!

Something about Ritter basses has always grabbed me. I don't own one and probably never will, but I do love the way they look...
