For the past three years, it's been this Sadowsky. It looks classy, but with a heavy edge...I'm willing to settle for the Ibanez SRX475 though, and later on a four string model, depending on how I like the 475.

Last week, my guitar player brought a 1980's Tokai P-bass over to play around with. I played through an entire practice with it and fell in love. It was a real player. It was kind of beat up, it has rust on the tuners and bridge... it was a real road warrior. Boy did it sound great.
So I'm gassing for that bass... which he will not part with.

A 24-fret, 6-string, 34" scale Fender Jazz bass with 2-band preamp? Last bass I'll ever own.

Sucks for you! I have a spector 6 string and an ibanez gary willis 35 5 sting fretless. Right I'm gassing for a trex squeezer tube compressor and a good amp. I'm working with a 7 year old crappy crate 50 watt practice amp
