What's your sweet spot tone setup?

This is mine:

Jazz bass with D'Addario chrome flats, neck pickup full, bridge pickup 8/10, tone 7/10.
EHX Battalion DI with a little bit of compression, small bass cut, small low mid boost, flat high mid and treble.
Into the return jack on Quilter 101R Mini guitar amp.
Into an Epifani ULII 1x12,cab.

This is awesome for practicing at home and practicing with the band. I'm just using the power amp of the Quilter with the Battalion as the preamp section. The Quilter just using the power section is very clean even at almost full volume but it only has 50 watts. It's not loud enough live. Live I use the same setup with an Ampeg RB210 combo and the Epifani. I like the tone better with the practice setup but it is still very nice with the live setup. The Epifani cab has a beautiful round tone. Live the two 10s and the 12 with the RB210 at 500 watts cuts through the mix very nicely.

PJ both volume and tone controls open. EQ Set to flat with a slight boost a 165hz with an Eden head. The Mesa WD-800 I have to roll back the treble on the bass good bit.

J-style bass. 100% neck, 80% bridge.
Tone at 8 with fresh strings, 10 with aged strings.
DR Pure Blues.
Pick.
EWS Tri-Logic with bass and treble at 50% boost. Maybe a slight hi-mid bump.
EWS Stormy with just a touch of overdrive.
I run that into a PJB amp.

Very assertive and focused tone.

my one and only 2000' mim J. No effects, neck volume always higher than mid to some degree. Treble around 60% with roto66's...and thats just the bass. Going into my 4x10 hartke with a traynor ts120 vintage head with onboard EQ

P Bass. TI Flats. Tone control near full, slight roll off. Amp has a drooped smiley face. (Kind of the 60s P Bass sound.)

What's my sweet spot tone setup? I currently have 22 playable basses, so... pick one and I'll tell ya...
Seriously, though... it does vary a bit, depending on the bass and what I use it for. I like to play music I like on the bass that's associated with it - or a bass that's pretty close, since there are basses out there that have no left handed examples... In general?
- Basses with 2 single coil p/u's; neck p/u on full, flavor it with the bridge p/u (how much depends on the bass and the song), and the tone usually all the way up.
- Basses with 2 humbucker p/u's; both p/u's up to 9 or so; tone about half way up.
- Basses with a single p/u; wide open, tone about 3/4 up.
- Basses with one single coil and one humbucker (Jazz bass layout); single coil wide open, flavor with the humbucker - usually about 5/10. Don't have a bass with the pickup positions reversed...
- My Carvin LB-20 has 2 humbuckers that can both be split. If I use it that way? They're set as 2 single coils. If not? I set them as 2 humbuckers...
- My EBMM 4HH Stingray Special is usually played as either 2 humbuckers, or as 2 single coils, using the outer coils. And set up accordingly.
My Hofner-style basses are run with both p/u's on, bridge p/u flavoring the neck p/u, and set to "rhythm"; for the "upright" tone - or as close as a violin bass or a Club Bass can get, anyway...
As for strings? One bass (MIK Rogue VB-100) wears Roto 88 Tapes; one bass (Gretsch Broadkaster) wears TI JR324 Jazz Rounds. All the others wear a very wide variety of flats...
