What's your "White Whale" bass?

Warwick Fortress Masterman

Any color/(cosmetic)condition will do since I'll refinish it and gut/replace the electronics anyway.

I realize these do appear occasionally, but given I have no real budget for another bass, it's my white whale.

I kind of own all my white whales. I guess I would really like to get a hold of a red and black crackle Charvel 3B bass and a matte black Spector Forte.

I've owned a few that some might consider white whales - Fodera Yin/Yang, Warwick Dolphin and Buzzards (including the 8-string), Fbass BNF, etc, but right now there is nothing more wanted-yet-elusive than ye olde sandberg patchwork jazz. I've posted this desire a few times, just hoping the universe will take the hint.

Oh, plus I'll need time to save up what must be an exorbitant amount of money for it.

EDIT finally heard from Sandberg and CME - these are still being made. It's like 5 grand and a year wait though... whoof.

I will always want a vintage white MIJ/CIJ Fender Mustang bass. They just call to me. It's not so much that it's unobtainable, but that nobody wants to sell theirs -OR- I don't have the money to buy it at the time.
I had one of those, too! You could have bought it from me for a very reasonable price a couple years ago (much less than you're thinking ).

TIL that is a real bass, not just something somebody made in Photoshop.
