also, one of those short scale Gibson SG basses could work fine for that too though I'm afraid the set neck design may be problematic.

The butterscotch Benavente has a big alder slab body and would work wonderfully for cracking zombie skull.

The Sadowsky is my #1, far too valuable to use as a weapon. On top of that the body is chambered which means it would be a poor choice regardless... too fragile.

If anyone here has played the original Dead Rising game, you'll know that a P bass will work just fine. I think I'd want something easy to swing, but not super fragile. So, my P bass will work just fine.

not really.
set necks basically depend on a glue joint to lock the mechanical connection of the neck and the body in place (a dovetail basically). as most Les Paul totting guitarists may tell you this glue joint is not everlasting and cracks may develop there.

Heh, I got that book too. I bought myself a crowbar and one of those shaolin spade thingies.

i'd unbolt my Zon 6-er neck, use it as a zombie club, and still be able to use it as a neck after wiping it off, unlike most of the other basses you guys are using.

Though it would take a lot more time, this is probably the most efficient choice yet.

I took a Zombie survival quiz that said I have a 1% chance of surviving a zombie attack. It was on Facebook so I trust its accuracy. That said, I'm not wasting a bass. Maybe I should pick up a cheap banjo.
