LOL!! I went through a "Jaco-phase" in college with a Jazz bass, most BL's dont dig that particular sound for that very reason, not enough low end so it doesn't hold anything together but it sure cuts through everything!! Not enough cushion for the pushin' though LOL
Haha! I've flirted with the burp, but as soon as the lows start going I have to dial them back in. Just can't do it. I was honestly confused when I first heard the guy playing, because you really can't accidentally get to that sound and my brain was telling me something far, far different should have been coming out of his rig!
I check out all the band's gear. If I see something I like, I hang round until load out to see if they leave the piece I like unprotected for a minute.
I definitely don't go on the stage!
