Where are you getting your strings these days?

Probably This ^^^

Unless I need em right now, then I'll grab em at Guitar Center. My local GC isn't that bad with string stocking, mainly BECAUSE..

I use these:
Cuz they're good, reasonably priced, and SO Common, ya can almost find em at the 7-11.

When I buy "Colored/coated" strings, I'll get em online.

From bargain bins/blowouts in various stores…I’m not picky as to brand, as long as they are roundwounds.
Then, I know this doesn’t really count, but in my hometown there is this huge outlet store for overstock, returns, bankruptcy, odd lots, etc, etc…
Their old warehouse used to be right nextdoor to the midwest distribution center for, wait for it, Musician’s Friend. They have a new megacenter miles away, and although the selection of musical items has atrophied over the years(I once got a modern Hiwatt head from them), and while their prices have crept up, I believe they still have some sort of sideways relationship with MF/GC, I still see the occasional Ernie Ball pack(and other brands), plus guitar strings as well(I’m far more picky about those). They have an Ebay store, FYI… Cargo Largo, but don’t get your hopes up.

Guitar Center has no selection, local music stores are nearing extinction, and Bass Strings Online looks out of date, like they might not be open any more. I've been getting strings from Amazon lately for the sake of convenience, but if there's a better site I'd love to know.
String by mail , Matt always provide superb customer service !

I’d love to support local music stores, but they don’t stock the strings I want, so I buy my strings from Lord of the Strings or Thomann.
@Petethebassman Just curious if you wound up ordering from Lord of the Strings. I was thinking about ordering some Pedulla strings as they seem to be in stock. Very responsive via email but wanted to be sure they’re legit.

I had posted earlier in this thread that I get mine from a local mom & pop shop. But I'm also looking at Rocket Music online that is owned by fellow TB member @RocketMusic

He's building up his string stock, prices are comparable too. I know he's working on getting his D'Addario stock up. But I don't know what else he's working on or has in stock but he's got 10 pages worth of strings to choose from on his site.
