Where are you getting your strings these days?

I never buy bass strings from Guitar Center. They have no real variety in string guages. I use JustStrings.com,.....they have any kind of strings you can imagine. I love Kent Smith strings. Prices are very reasonable.

Unfortunately JustStrings is closed. Owners retired several months ago and sold everything off.

I mostly try to buy small stuff like this from my neighborhood guitar shop. I’m lucky to have one in walking distance and I want them to stay around, so I do what I can.

Guitar Center has no selection, local music stores are nearing extinction, and Bass Strings Online looks out of date, like they might not be open any more. I've been getting strings from Amazon lately for the sake of convenience, but if there's a better site I'd love to know.

I also really dig SIT Powerwounds which can be purchased direct.

Friends don’t let friends buy from huge internet companies.

I buy mine direct from Stay In Tune (SIT). Other manufacturers also will sell directly. Otherwise from a specialty string seller as mentioned by others.

Amazon can’t be beat for speed of shipping and ease of returns. Or usually price for that matter.

Amazon has had a lot of deals this past year- DR neon Neon sets for <$20, EB cobalts for $22, etc., so I try to stock up whenever there is a good deal.

Otherwise, I think DR has black beauties for BOGO right now.

Yes, Amazon these days. Unless they don't have something I need (which is rare), then wherever I can find what I need.
I do like Strings by Mail. When I have points to redeem, D'Addario - good helpful folks over there.
