Do you perhaps even come up with characters for your band? Ridiculously convoluted stories that explain why your drummer is chained to his stool, and your guitarist is wearing pink spandex.

Funny how different things are here in the States.

We make up ridiculously convoluted stories to cover up why the guitarist is wearing pink spandex.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

My cover band did that song (with a female singer, not too many guys can hit those high notes!!). I hadn't really listened to them, but it was a fun song to play. And no, I didn't have to wear spandex.

Are you referring to hair metal or glam rock? Glam rock was what happened in the late 60s/ early 70s (T Rex, David Bowie, Roxy Music, etc). Hair Metal was what happened in the 80s (Motley Crue, Poison, Warrant, etc).
