And if anything I would imagine it would help the sales, people snapping them up while they still can. Warranty would surly pass over to fender

When two industry vets both directly involved with the parent company who I respect and have longstanding personal friendships with say that something is up my making a cautious comment in a thread directly related to the subject doesn't doesn't seem especially out of line....discussing these things is kinda what we do here, no? Now if I'd gotten my info from the multiple face pierced kid working the counter at Guitars-Is-Us I doubt I'd have thought it credible enough to say anything.

Hasn't been Fender in the past. Fender owned SWR for 10 years before shutting it down. And they don't call Squier Fender. Or Gretsch. So I don't know where this idea that Fender traditionally only wants brands to be called Fender came from. If this is the case now, it's a new development.

Just because I can, Java does not equal Javascsript. The error people were posting has to do with something going wrong on the server. JavaScript is run from the client (browser). Totally different things. Carry on
