I initially though it was OS oriented too. But Linux at work is ok, so I think it is something else.

I couldn't see it for weeks!! Yesterday i had a buddy clean up my computer and now i can see it. Weird that it didn't work for so long for me.... even with cleaning out my cache, history, etc..

That IP address is a Private IP address - it doesn't belong to anyone; that's why you can't ping it.

A super secret inside source of mine has just informed me that FMIC is intermittently taking the Genz-Benz site off line for short periods of time just to mess with paranoid Talkbass members. My source wouldn't lie and has been very reliable so far.

The lack of communication from and about this company is completely unprofessional.
Total disrespect for those that have been customers and supporters.
You would think by now that either GB or FMIC would have made some sort of statement about a "transition" or to say that it's not true at all. If it takes this long to put a deal together, imagine how things would run in the future.
I imagine the moral at GB must not be very high since the whole operation seems to be shrouded in secrecy.
BTW, I think they are a great outfit and hope their spirit, product design, and quality survive whatever is to come.

My worry is the warranty. I have a Max 9.2 and Streamliner 900. I want an NX2 cab but what is the warranty going to be like?!
