Where did your TB user name come from?

Mine goes back to when my family first got email years ago. My first name is Anthony, or Tony for short. Well, my Dad made his email address first, and since his name is Anthony as well, he used agabriele. My brother then got second choice for email addresses, and since his name is Tom, he chose tgabriele. That effectively covers both first initials in my full name and my nickname, so we just stuck an "x" in front of gabriele for my email address, and "xgabriele" has been my online identity ever since.

edit: however, due to the insane amount of spam I got after using this email address for many years, I finally retired that email address late last year and have a new one. I still consider myself "xgabriele" though on the forums I visit.

:hyper: You see, yours is one of those that I've seen around a lot and wondered what it was all about! Good to know, thanks!

I'm still hoping to lure "MakiSupaStar", "Disenchant" and "Toasted" (to name but three) into this thread to "explain themselves" too! :D

My username came from the depths of my brain. I thought of it when I was around 12 or so, and it has been used countless times for forums, emails, and nicknames.

I found out a couple of years later that it was actually the name of a live album from Sonic Youth as well.

The name is also credited as the band name to a couple of tracks that I have written over the past years, and that name will eventually be a full band name.

 Still none the wiser, sorry!

His name comes from the song Gods of Rapture by the band Meshuggah
