That and I've been using it for years.

If I were to dress up like Mr.Chucklebunny, it would basically be a Tor Johnson mask with bunny ears sticking out of the top with my normal clothes because I am one hell of a snappy dresser.

Because everyone else in the group was in their late 40's or early 50's, they referred to themselves as "geezers." Because the band played a lot of "blue-eyed soul" music (Steve Winwood, Traffic, Sanatana, Procol Harum, etc.), they started to call our little group the "Soulgeezers."

In the mid-'80s, my friend's father, Phil, died of a heart attack. Needless to say, this was the end of the Soulgeezers (the studio where we played was in his house). Phil had also been the bass player in my band "Asta," which also died along with him.

When the Internet came along, I decided to pay silent tribute to Phil and the terrific influence he'd had on me as a young musician by adopting the name of the Sunday jam-band as my username on music Web sites.

So, now, I am soulgeezer. And, everytime someone refers to that name, Phil's memory is preserved and tribute is paid for everything I owe him.

I miss Phil. He was a Hell of a guy.

Back in the olden days when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, I was in a band that did fairly well locally. The habit, when introducing members of the band was to give them grandiose titles, for example we didn't just have "Eric M. on keys." We had "Eric M., the Chairman of the boards!"

Yeah. I know it's lame. But it was less common and geeky when we were doing it. The best one they used for me was "Lord of the Low Frequencies" Since I wrote the lyrics to all but one of our originals, the guitar player stared calling me The Bard of ___________(whichever city I lived in at the time)"

This eventually turned into "Bardman", which surprisingly, some people still use for my nickname. When I was signing up for TB, the computer inexplicably wouldn't let me use 'Bardman'. So I thought about the song on the radio at the time, a George Thorogood song. Inspiration struck. I took 'Bardman' and 'Bad To The Bone' and combined them to get...Secret Donkey. But since that was taken already, I just went with Bard 2 D Bone, or Bard2dbone.

Mine's a general handle I use everywhere on the Internet. Screen names, email address, I used to have it as my AIM s/n but I forgot the password to that account. My license plate even says "DCTRJAZZ," so there's a few people that have taken to calling me that IRL.

It came from the fact that I really dig jazz and once a long time ago I thought that "doctorjazz" sounded cool, so I went with it.
