Where is your hearing loss cutoff?

I don't even want to try this test.The audiologist at work had to knock on the door and came into to the booth to see if her equipment was broken.Because on all the higher frequencies in left ear I didn't push the button at all to tell her I heard it..

my top end cutoff is just above 12,500 but it seems quieter at 11,500 and above. bottom end cutoff - i can hear 18, but lower than that it gets quieter and at 11 it's almost too quiet to hear. some of the lower frequencies made me dizzy, though.
 
With the volume all the way up, I was able to hear a slight static sound down to 4 hz and hear a high pitch squeal as high as 15,000 hz. I have always had great hearing. When I was in the Army, they made me take a hearing test 4 times because they didn't believe that I was hearing all the frequencies that I reacted to during the test. Most healthy young people can hear between 20 and 20,000 hz. I'm 58 so I think I'm probably above average for my age. I have noticed that I hear better with my left ear, but have lost some of the high frequencies in it as well.
 
hmm just got done playing with the tone generator.Whats the difference between the different wave forms.. Triangle and sine waves my hearing is waaay worse than square and saw tooth..Night and day difference,seems odd to me I can hear the tones better in certain wave forms than others...
 
Been to audio-dr. a while ago to get it tested.. Let me tell you; Tinnitus blows. Hi-end cut off is fine; that's the least of my worries.

Dip in left ear, roughly from 250 Hz to 1kHz. Putting the phone to my left ear makes people sound weird, due to the drop in mids..

WEAR EAR PROTECTION! Yes - fork over a couple hundred bucks for custom molded ones if you need to. THEY ARE TOTALLY WORTH IT.. A much better purchase than yet another pedal..

And there it is folks, losing a chunk of midrange is much more serious, and also much more likely if you don't always wear quality protection when around loud sound. It all accumulates, and before you know it, more is gone than is left.

High-frequency hearing naturally disappears in all of us. It's called presbycusis. It is accelerated by noise and shockwave exposure—among other things.

10hz to 18,000hz. I'm pretty sure this is bogus, though, because isn't 10hz supposed to be outside of the range of human hearing?

Under 20, I had to turn up my headphones to hear it, but I'm wondering if the volume was too low to otherwise push the headphone drivers.

I'm 27, but I always use ear plugs for shows and rehearsals.
