Where should I move?

Wherever you move is better than Michigan, god I hate this state.

My personal suggestion is Baltimore, MD. Dundalk to be specific. I just loooooove it there, it's a little "ghetto-ish" I guess you could say, but it's not bad at all. I don't know if you like living in the city or the country better, but if you like city life like me then you would love this place. My second choice would be Florida. :D

what about for bass players? seems like there is a shortage of good bass players everywhere...

I don't know. Contact Ed Friedland, he moved there last year. Find out if his phone is ringing off the hook.

My friend in SA tells me that the good bass players from around Austin and SA usually get picked up for the road, come back and then back out with another band.

I used to live in Michigan too. I liked it there. Denton was probably my favorite place to live. A lot of musicians in that area too.

I can understand you not wanting to be in Houston. I mean that would be west of the Sabine and you are the Bayou Brawler.;) But of course you want to live close to family. So I suggest Calcasieu Parish, LA: Lake Charles, Sulphur, Vinton. Westlake. If you want a little more distance, but still within reasonable driving time, then Lafayette. If you need cheap living space, I have a friend in Chalmette who says she is still living in a FEMA trailer after a year and a half and still working on rebuilding her house with no financial help from FEMA other than the trailer. But definitely not New Mexico or Colorado.:eyebrow: :eyebrow: :scowl: :scowl: :eyebrow: We are too far from everywhere to visit family, the weather sucks and it's flat and ugly terrain here. What about Ozona. I understand that's paradise and it's a straight shot down I-10 to Houston. Good luck.:D
