Interesting. I wonder and I say I'm just wondering, whether the "installation" was an issue. You put it in an appropriate spot and made a little circle with the putty, etc. and had the centre of the transducer lightly touching the top of the bass?

I think Schertler makes great products (I had the PUB at the time and thought it was a remarkable piece of engineering), but this was one that simply didn't work for me for whatever reason.
I don't think you should have to remove your post at all. If there's an issue in certain situations then they should fix it and I'm sure they would want to know about it. Were you using the Schertler preamp and if so did you find that the resonance filter was of any help?
I was not using the Schertler preamp the second time. The first time, I tried it through Rufus' preamp, and the same thing happened. But we used his Dyn-B on his bass through the same setup I was trying, and it sounded fine. Looking back, I wish we had simply pulled Rufus' Dyn off of his bass and stuck it on mine to see what happened, but I didn't want to ask him to do that (although he's so nice, I'm sure he would have). Then again, I'm so thrilled with the AMT that it all worked out for the best!
