Where to get custom pick guards now?

I had a pickguard done at www.quickguards.com
He sent me a file with an outline he had for my bass (Lakland DJ5) to see if it would fit. It was off by a little so I traced out my own pickguard on a paper and sent it to him. When I got the pickguard it was a perfect fit.
He has lots of interesting pickguard materials, but I'm sure he can get the basic stuff for you as well if you ask.

I consider Victor at WD to be a pro - he has done me right and furnished high quality goods on several occasions for me - even with some mistakes that needed to be corrected - he was a true gentleman and did the right thing with me.

However, buyer beware, there is a thread somewhere of a number of folks being very disenchanted with WD for a variety of reasons.

I've been considering a couple of purchases from WD Music for my Blacktop Jazz, but I haven't dealt with them yet.

I have read some bad things about them but if you look up when it happened it was a long time ago and a lot of it I feel can be blamed on the customer for not being specific enough on their order.
I have ordered three guards from them and they were all perfect. One was for a stock MIA Fender the other two were complete custom. They made the exactly like the template I sent them.

+1 for WD music - they made a perfect guard for me from a template I sent. Super quality job. Communication from Virgil was excellent throughout the process and it arrived bang on the quoted timeframe to me here in Australia. I'll go with them again for sure when I want another custom guard.

They make some of the nicest pickguards I've ever seen.
