Where's all the rack mount tuners?

I like my Fender, but I don't think they make them anymore. I miss it if I use my MarkBass rig.

To the guys using the DTR rack mounts - how do yours pick up the E string? I had a DTR 2000 and sold it because it was always a struggle to get an accurate tuning of the E. I am completely out of using a pedal board now, would like to go back to a rack tuner but my past experience makes me hesitant.
Hasn't been a problem for me.

Since starting this thread and reading/listening to everyones advice and experience, I ended up getting a Korg DTR-2000 and mounting into the same rack case with my GK RB700. It has turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Totally satisfied. I simply leave the tuner on throughout the gig and if I feel the need to check my tuning I can simply pluck a string so lightly that the audience hears nothing but the tuner picks it up. And the very large display is a breeze for me to see from wherever I am. The past weekend we did an outdoor benefit show... bright sunny day... and I could see the display just fine. Now I show up at the gig and because the tuner is already mounted in my case it's all set ready to go. One thing that used to be on my list of things to do before a show... set up tuner... is now permanently off the list.

So, I still don't quite understand... where did all the rack mounted tuners go? I think they're wonderful...
