Which 212 cab to get

Berg CN212 = Best of both world for me. Great form factor, light weight, great sound. I went from the Aguilar to the CN. Perfect middle of the road cab small enough (in form factor) for smaller gigs, but big enough (power handling and volume) to handle the big gigs too. Not a super deep low end, but lot's of nice tight bass, lot's of "meat" in the sound. Great mids. Very even across the spectrum!! No nasty peaks or freq bumps. I even use the tweet sometimes, and I am not a tweeter guy!

+1 on this!

I just got my Bergy and I am in love!

Ordered a CN 112 to set on top. And to use for smaller venues...

I am also gassing for a 2-12, My problem..I've the 3 Bee's of bass playing...Borrowed my Buddy's Berg...an NV 6-10...now do I want an HD... a CN...or ? an AE?
I'm looking at a SWR Bigfoot with EV's in it ...but I will still be jonsin' for the Bergantino

The CN or HD takes what was developed from the AE line and brings it into a whole nuther level of performance. The AE212 is really scooped in comparison.

I have a Bigfoot with Eminence Neo's in it. While it cured my initial gas for a 212, I REALLY want a fEARless F212, or maybe a Bergantino. I have never played through either, but they sure seem like the best of everything I like.

So, please refer to actual recording of AE212 in Post#40. Doug, IMO, "scooped" is not a good comparison. The AE212 does have more push in the low end. I can see where some players with some basses would find that not useful. For pizz with a J, I like it. But the AE is not lacking lower mids or mids if you want them; which is what I would call scooped.
