This is tough for me to say because I had an Eden 410XLT and now I use an Avatar 212NEO and I have to say I prefer the tone of the Avatar over the Eden. So the whole Avatar being cheaper would have nothing to do with my decision. I've actually been wanting to pick up an Avatar 410 as well just havnt yet.

Avatar's cheaper louder and uses better drivers than the old model SWR non-neos.

No idea what is in the GoLight series. If you can afford it I'd probably go with the GoLight over the Avatar but can't say without trying'em.

I'd suggest you check out LDS as well. Not too much of a drive down to Detroit to pick it up IIRC :)

i will be receiving my avatar 410 very shortly and im stoked, i had and swr goliath and workingmans 210 both at 8ohms powered by an swr 550x, and i hated everything about it.. It was brittle sounding and i could never get the sound i wanted. spent atleast 2 years trying and trying and could never get it. i will always go against swr, that might be harsh but i really tried every thing i could to make it sound better but no luck. if you like them then awesome im happy for ya but im gonna try avatar for a while now seems to suit my needs better, and price is appealing too.

+1!

I also went from high dollar, hard to move, "to my ears" o.k. sounding, Ed*n cabinets (a 212XLT and a 210XLT) to two Avatar Neo 210 cabinets...
I've not regretted the switch for a single second!

(I'd be willing to bet that 95% of the players that voted SWR over the Avatar have NEVER played through a Avatar cabinet!!!)
