Which all tube head??

Have I always played an SVT, no. Is that what I play now, yes.

There are infinite choices as to what you could get but, here is why I switched to SVT's and why I have more than one.

1. You can pick up an SVT CL on bidding sites from $850 to $1100. There actually one now for a buy it now price of $850.

2. Switchable from 2-4ohm.

3. You are a bass player, you swing the heaviest gear in a band, take off your skirt and stop bitching about how much a head weighs.

4. 300 actual watts of tube glory.

I run everything from a single 15" to multiple 15" and 2 8x10's. The SVT doesn't have to sound muddy as long as you set up accordingly.

From start to finish you could be in a used SVT with a nice used cab for under $1500. Just do it!

i'm currently using a GK backline 600 (300 watts) with my extra braced and lovely eminence's in Fender Bassman ported 2x15 bass cab.
I love the sound however I want A LOT more headroom and low end.

I've been looking at Ampeg SVT VR, Fender Super Bassman, Orange ADB, Matamp GT200 etc...

I want massive volume, power and low end. As much headroom as possible as i'm using very high output fuzz pedals.

I'd also love to add an 8x10 to the set-up too.

Thoughts??

Traynor YBA300

Yep!
I NEED one like...well...but I WANT one...so sometimes this year I am going to try to get the YBA300. I don't think anything else touches it's value/workmanship.
Gonna get a Traynor 4 12 or 810 to pair with it. I hear the Traynor 412 is a monster.

These are so sweet. Like a Moron, I sold mine. Paid $1600 and sold for $1900. Now they are like twice that. That being said I like My YBA-300 as much,

For now I am using an Avatar B115(Eminence 3015LF) and an Avatar B210 (Eminence Neo's). It sounds amazing with Ric/Flatounds. Of course I want the Traynor 4X12.
