Which all tube head??

For EU or AU, just because of simple logistics and import duties, as much as I love my Reeves, for you guys,
the absolute best build/sound I can think of is the German built Weber-Mywatt 400.

He's using toroidal transformers, so he's got a 400 watt RMS Hiwatt build weighing in at only
55 pounds, 25 kg. It's really a clever and innovative design.

A V4b R/I may have a posted retail here of $1299.00 but in the real world of unpublished street prices, I'd walk if a retailer didn't give me 20% off that.
So the right price for that amp is more like $1050.00 USD
For our friends in EU to pay $1600.00 USD for that amp is ludicrous, even considering VAT etc.
Unless you are playing with a good PA, with IEMs or in a dinky, hole in the wall pub, the V4b just doesn't have enough stones.
Its going to run out of headroom much above 4.5, just under half volume.
I'm referring to my experience with a brand new vintage 70's model through a 2X15 JBL cab.

I've never owned an all-tube amp before.
I'm currently toying with the idea of buying a new Fender Super Bassman 300.
Does anyone know how the tubes are mounted in the Super Bassman 300?
Ask in the Super Bassman thread. They're mounted right way up buti dunno how they're actually fixed.

I don't buy for popularity either. Got the Super Bassman as I was recommended it by people whose opinion I trust and the specs & price all added up.
The V4B. ...100w. Ampeg. D.I. lightweight. Etc etc
