Radiohead wouldn't necessarily suck without Colin Greenwood, but they wouldn't be nearly as awesome either.

Does Roger Waters of Pink Floyd count? You can argue that Gilmour did a lot of the bass work on the records, but Roger had all the ideas, lyrics, and framework that made Floyd pretty unique. I think the mediocrity of Floyd's post-Waters stuff speaks for itself.

Also OBTW, to those of you who disagreed with my statement about most young people not having any sense of history, prove me wrong. If you ask me, this thread has proved that I'm right. Anyone who thinks Chris Squire or Sting are replaceable when they invented the styles they came up with has no sense of history. I'm sure you can find isolated examples of kids with a good sense of history, but they're few and far between.

Again, if you disagree, prove me wrong.
