Which Bass do you most regret selling?

I really miss my Hohner B2, I bought it in the 90s really cheap. I loved everything about it but the tone for me was absolutely killer, and seeing as I have no tone in my fingertips makes it all the more important. Prices have risen so high that another one is out of my reach.
I also need to mention my Fender Jaguar, it was a Japanese re-issue, the first re-issue since the Jag was dropped in 75. I bought it new for £750, it had an Alder body with Buttermint finish and tort pick guard and gold fittings, it came in a tweed looking Tolex case with all the candy. I've never been able to find another in that spec. If you're thinking of selling an axe, think really hard about it

Already regretting the Carvin LB76 I sold on TB just two weeks ago!

The only one I would even remotely want to have back is my first. It really wasn't anything special – just a Cort P clone in a two-tone sunburst that I bought during my formative teen years. I ended up trading it in on the purchase of my second bass, which is still with me decades later. I just remember the Cort being rather difficult to play, but back then, I didn't know a darn thing about strings or setups. I often wonder what it would be like to have that Cort back in my hands today.

The only one I really REGRET was my NAMM Sky Blue EBMM Cutlass with roasted neck & ebony. And I sold it under conditions which were not ideal (basically because I had to, not because I wanted to). I went on to buy - and subsequently sell - 3 other Cutlasses chasing the feeling of that first one, but it was just a special thing. But I also reeeeeally love the basses I play now, and I highly doubt I would have made my way to them if I had kept it.

I’ve sold a lot of nice basses over the years. Ironically I don’t regret selling the really nice ones because I look back at them more as a stepping stone to the basses I have now. The main one I regret selling is my first bass for sentimental reasons. It was a made in American peavey fury p bass. I estimate that I put at around 1500 hours of practice in on that bass.
