Which Bass do you most regret selling?

I had a beautiful Montezuma Brown Ric 4003 that I often wish I'd have kept. I just can't bond with the 4003's, although I think they're one of the sexiest basses made. But for stunning looks alone, I wish I had kept it. (This pic of the Ric is not the one I owned, but the color is identical.)

But for "all-around" regrets, probably my Sunset Orange Transparent Jazz. Just a beautiful bass. Looked great on-stage, and sounded good as well. So that one probably haunts me more than any...

I had a 2012 Fender MIA precision in jade pearl metallic with maple board. Pristine condition. Sold it to a friend, guitar player ;/ and within a year his son accidentally knocked over a music stand that fell on it and put a huge scratch down the front. This just about the time that I was going to try and buy it back from him... was...

1931 G.A. Pfretzschner Aluminum bodied upright bass. I found it in a Dumpster (seriously) and I rescued it. At the time I was playing Rage and Audioslave covers and I didn't have the patience to learn playing the upright properly. Got great money for it at least. I miss my Highway 1 Jazz as well....

I've owned lots of wonderful axes in my day, the time came, and it was time to move on, I really don't miss any of them except one, strangely the least of them all:

I had a little BB400 Yamaha back in the early 80's, as basic as they come, a P Bass clone. Kind of a peanut-brittle colored satin tint on the body, reversed Yamaha P pickup, two knobs, rosewood, 1200 bridge, adjustable keys, and it was very light, probably the lightest bass I ever owned. It was like the perfect pair of old blue jeans, and it got short shrift alongside its BB1200 and 2000 fancier older brothers. That's the only one I'd like back. Funny, innit ?

Thankfully my recent Fender MIJ Midnight Precision is very, very close in tone and feel.

One day I was walking past a pawn shop and there sitting in the window was this old P bass ( a '66). The finish was stripped off and it didn't have a pickguard. The guy wanted... $150.00. My bank was just down the street and I RAN down and got the money. That P bass was the best P bass I've ever played and I compare every P bass I play to that one. A few years later I got into JAZZ. I didn't see myself ever playing a P Bass again. I go through these cycles from time to time where I just start getting rid of stuff. So, I sold the P bass and I've been kicking my self ever since. I've put together a couple of P's that are almost as good so I'm reasonably happy but that is the one that I regret letting go.

I was able to get this Alembic Spoiler for a
in the early 80's. Years later I was strapped for cash and brought this to a guitar store in Portland, Or. They gave me $300 for it. I was desperate. Yeas later, I saw this bass online going for a few grand.
