So simple, yet so effective. Sorry, I was mislead by the super-longscale, but it´s not longer than my Ibanez, well not really. Any advise for "special-form" hardcases ?
That's a little tougher! When I've tried to find hard cases for unusual basses, I usually just end up resorting to measuring the length and width of the body and overall length and looking around for something that fits. I don't really have any recommendations on specific makers, I'm afraid.
So I narrowed it down to two different SKB Cases.
One is the SKB 44PRO and the SKB 3I-5014-44.
So here´s my question, are the 200 € more for the second case worth it ? I mean it´s a (relatively) expensive bass and it´s my heart, my soul, my everything. I really like the waterproof-feature and the slightly longer length but apart from that they are pretty much the same, what do you guys think ?

I totally forgot about this thread. I have three cases for my NG2 by now.
1) SKB 3I-5014-44
2) Gruvgear Kapsule
3) Mono M80 Vertigo
Tbh, the Vertigo is more than enough to protect your bass splendidly. The Kapsule is great if you need to carry a lot of accessoires with you, such as cables, pedals, a solid state amp and so on and the SKB is a tank. It does not have much internal space for cables and such, but you cant break it, I think.
I´d say get the Vertigo, because the other two cases are very heavy, especially the SKB.

Is it a snug fit with the skb case or does it have room to wiggle around inside still?

Haha damn these things are pricey. Almost better off buying one of these as I need two anyways.
ENKI AMG-2 Electric Bass Guitar Case
Ain't that the truth! Back in 1988 I bought my first 35" scale bass, I just automatically assumed I would need a longer-than-normal gig bag to fit it. Went hunting all over the place for one, finally found a decent (albeit somewhat weirdly shaped and poorly padded, issues which I've subsequently fixed) gig bag made by Ken Smith which was ~2 or 3" longer than any other bag I'd been able to find. Took it home, and was thrilled to see that my 35" scale Modulus fit just fine in it.
Then I checked, and my bog-stock 34" scale Fender Precision also fit just fine in it...but only just barely! Turns out the 34" Fender was an inch longer than the 35" Modulus!
