Which Bass should I buy?

What is your budget / what are your needs/requirements - and THEN decide. Please don't tell us you are deciding based on pictures you see on Sweetwater or MF!

I just have experience playing these two basses. I really like the Yamaha TRBX505 as well, so I am throwing that into the mix. My budget is around $650. I want a good quality, solid 5 string bass that will be able to take the abuse of playing multiple gigs a week. I really don't want to worry about having to adjust the truss rod every other week. I love the features of the Yamaha the best, but I will not be able to play one considering that there is no music stores within 200 miles that carry the Yamaha basses.

I have both the Yamaha TRBX305 and -505, love 'em. The 5-way "style" switch on the 305 makes that $400 bass well worth the price of admission. The 505 has tone and sustain for days.

If you are buying new, Amazon is offering 20% off on a lot of products. I just bought the first linked bass below; a Schecter Riot-4 session. I have a Stiletto Elite 4, a Diamond P-bass; and have recently sold a Stiletto Custom 4 and an Omen 4. For me, the 18v active EMG are MUCH better than the EMG-HZ. I'm thinking about going ahead and selling my Elite 4, Diamond P-bass, and Squier VM 70s Jazz and replacing them with the second linked bass; a Session Model-T.
