Which bass should I buy?

I could ask if the MusicMan 115 RH bass cabinet's "Electrovoice Speaker Upgrade" (offered on the pricelist as an up-charge) upgraded to an EVM 15B or an EVM 15L, and how in your opinion did change the tonal characteristics, depth extension, and output of that box? Some of us still have a "healthy" appreciation for non-micro classic gear, and someone here knows the answer to this question, but doesn't participate much for some reason.

I have thousands of dollars to purchase a bass. So, I’m here to ask complete strangers who have never met me or heard me play, how should I make this large financial decision?

Rest assured, with every suggestion you give, I will push back and explain why your suggestion just doesn’t work for me.

Because if you ask "Do you prefer to play 'On Green Dolphin Street' A-section Bossa and B-section swing, or whole song swing, and why is it commonly variable on GDS but not on 'Song for my Father' where nobody swings the whole song but rather always does A-section Bossa and B-section swing??... ...you're unlikely to spark much of a thread.

I’ve always played “Song For My Father” as bossa the whole way through, and the question about how to play “Green Dolphin Street” typically only applies to the solos. It’s normally played with the A-sections Latin and the B-sections swing. The question I have is whether a bass player has ever called “Take Five” on a gig, and if so did they play it in the original key?

I guess this is what they mean by thread drift.
