Which bass should I buy?

I have thousands of dollars to purchase a bass. So, I’m here to ask complete strangers who have never met me or heard me play, how should I make this large financial decision?

Rest assured, with every suggestion you give, I will push back and explain why your suggestion just doesn’t work for me.

But yeah… all replies are welcome.

However, based on everything we already assume about your technique, your preferences, genre, what basses you've owned in the past, where you live and what is available, the choice is easy: Buy the bass that I just got. It's the best bass ever for everyone, and even though it will be in the classifieds in 2 weeks it is a great bass that I really hate to sell.

I think this very particular and rare model of bass that hasn't been made in 20 years is exactly what you need. It's a little beyond your budget and you likely won't be able to find it for sale anyway.

What you don't seem to understand is that I'm downsizing... thinning the herd... making room on my rack for another axe. But in order for me to downsize, I have to first acquire many, many more basses. It's simple mathematics.

(I have 4 basses. I know... embarrassing.)

Buy the bass that I just got. It's the best bass ever for everyone, and even though it will be in the classifieds in 2 weeks it is a great bass that I really hate to sell.

Pretty sure I was the original owner of that bass. It really is the best bass I've ever owned. Played like butter. Can't believe I ever let that one go!!! GLWTS!! (No thanks. I don't want to buy it back)
