Which bass!!!!????

Recently,mI have looking for a second bass. I have to choices in my mind, but I cannot. Decide. The two basses in mind are a Fender American Special p bass or A Fender Deluxe P bass. I really cannot decode and I hope you guys can help me out.

I'd personally go for the deluxe. I reckon the jazz pickup in the bridge will allow for a larger variety of sound alongside the EQ. Its also marginally cheaper.

Have you played both and noticed any differences?

I have played both and I think so too, but I have also heard that sometimes these MIMs can be poorly setup.

I'm in a not too disimilar situation to yourself. For me, it's between the american special p, the deluxe jazz and a 2eq stingray

Just had a look at those, if I had a wee bit more money then I would be in an even bigger dilemma.

Poor setup is easily fixable. Buy the one you think sounds best. If you are buying new and the setup is not to your liking ask them to set the bass up for you, and make that part of the deal.

That is ver true , I think I might go for the Deluxe, it does have a jazz neck and pickup, so I it is more versatile really.

If your OK with having Active and Passive go for the Deluxe a VERY SWEET BASS period.
