Which bass?

My opinion: I don't care for the way Warwicks play, but they have amazing tone. My choice would be the American Jazz... Awesome neck, classic tone, and I think it would hold it's value a bit better.

I could say almost exactly the same thing. Every Warwick I've played (which admittedly is only a few) just felt awkward to me, but I loved the tone. Consequently, I've never owned a Warwick, though I have 4 Jazzes, and a couple of Precisions with Jazz necks.

It has to feel right, IMO. If the Warwick feels right to you when you play it, you'll most likely find the tones you want. Ditto with the Jazz.

So I'm planning to buy a new bass in this month and I can't decide which one. I've been playing with a Dean Edge Q1 for 5 years and I decided that I need to get a new one. So these are the basses:

Warwick Thumb NT.
Fender American Jazz Deluxe (Ash body).

There is a huge difference when it comes about prices, so what is your opinion? Which one would you choose?

Boutique bass versus regular assembly line production instrument...

There's really no contest here.
