about to buy a bass cable... would you guys recommend the planet waves circuit breaker or a monster cable? it will be right angled and 20ft. just curious to hear from thise who have owned them

hate both of those!
monster is overpriced bunk, and "switching" cables just mean one more reason to fumble around wondering why you have no sound when the next song starts. (guy in my old band had the planet waves one, after the third practice i was about ready to grab it and throw it out the window)
i like the dimarzio and the spectraflex for quality, durable USA-made braided cover cables. regular rapco or whatever is fine as long as it has legit switchcraft or neutrik ends.

You have a ton of choices. Take a look at Pro Cables and Lava cables, but I have had good luck with most quality cables.

what model mogami? i havent had much luck when looking at them. i have to have an angled input
It's the gold series with angled 1/4 in
on one end. Best cable I had . .. monster was too thick and as far as I know not guaranteed for life any longer
If you have active pickups then they will all sound the same tone wise so just look for construction quality. If passive pickups are used, then the tone will change based upon the total cable capacitance before first buffer or the amp:

I like the planet waves circuit breakers, ordered a few more - I wonder what folks don't like about them? I haven't had one long enough to have an opinion on how well they last.
I'll chew aluminum foil and shave my head with a cheese grater before I buy anything from Monster Cable.

I really like the Planet Waves classic series. I get the 90 deg/straight ones. I prefer tips that don't unscrew on my cables, and these don't screw up the stereo jack on my Ric.
I have a Monster cable. It's great quality, but STIFF...almost like coax cable. It leaves loops that are slightly elevated off the floor and easy to trip over. It got replaced with a softer cable.
LiveWire's nice. I've heard Mogami are the best.
Bullet cables were popular for a while but they are now extinct. I like my monster cable but I've heard they aren't as good as Mogami and they are the same price.
Coil cables are good if you want them not to get tangles or get in the way

No affiliation, I just got a pair of planet waves 20' angled on one end for $25 from sweetwater. Seem fine to me, softer, flexible.
then get the Gold Mogami or you can have a custom Platinum made with the 90 on one end.
