Which effects (if you use any) do you use most and why?

I got a Digitech BP 200 to try different things on the cheap plus get a drum machine, vol pedal and ipod input all in one.

My conclusion is the only standalone pedal I would ever use is a POG2. It just has not trumped the basses on my GAS list yet. You can get some nice gear for the price of a POG but the sound is SWEET!!

Well, I don't know. My board is a mess, pedals coming and going, and I am in perpetual rehearsal/recording and totally without a gig. BUT... that won't stop me from meaninglessly answering the question! Here's what I think I'll be using most.

* Compression. MXR M87

* Distortion. Source Audio Multiwave Pro

* Envelope filter. Presently the MXR M82. Would like to replace with a Source Audio Pro one.

* SansAmp BDDI. Might get rid of this soon.

* Digitech Bass Synth Wah. Probably unload this one soon, too.

different pedals complete my board depending on the band and which guitar i'm using, but (apart from a tuner) a phat phuk and BB preamp are always on the board. PPB to give a slight volume jump and drive my valve amp for louder sections, and dynamics, then the BB for light-ish overdrive (or as a preamp to awrm up the tone a bit when using somebodies else's amp, if it's an evil solid state thing!)

let's see....
first off-at the beggining of my efx chain there's markbass compressore,and at the end of it,there's MXR M80-both o' them NEVER off(colour switch on m80 on most of the time),and i believe i don't have to explain why
morley pba dual2 bass wah-although it acts differently with different basses.I LOVE this beauty-good for gaining on clarity during bass solo,or just to cut through mix at a certain point of the song,and,ofc,as a standard funky tool.
EHX octave multiplexer-primary for dynamics during the chorus part,or bridge part,sometimes even to 'fatten' the sound during a guitar solo
all other efx are being used as well,but these are my must-have-on-a-gig
