which fender amp

im giving serious consideration to buying a new fender amp.maybe the bassman 100t or the bassman 800.given that they have the same preamp circuitry,is the 100t worth the extra money over the 800.the weight difference isnt an issue to me.cheers.

Is 100w gonna be enough for you? If so and you like all tube tone.... ..the 100T will be superb

That's going to probably be very dependent on what kind of tone you want, and your volume needs. What do you think? How would you describe your tone?

Thanks for replies.i guess my question is really about what difference the power amp stage makes to the overall sound.my normal tone is quite a scooped tone but i want to be able to get the vintage tone as well.i would normally have pa support so i could live without the 300

An all tube power section makes a hell of a difference imo. If you like that feel, sound.. then it's hard to beat. . Again in my opinion. 100w only JUST does it for me, and only just ain't quite good enough, for me. For you????
