Which Fender to keep? Having trouble deciding..See pics

In 1986, I saved up from my after-school job and ordered that exact Jazz Bass Special in pewter. The one I ordered never arrived, so I ended up buying the black-on-black version instead. A lot have basses have come and gone in my collection, but the JBS is the one I'll take to my grave. It feels, sounds and plays as well as anything else I've ever owned.

If you have to choose one over the other, do you have any personal special memories / gigs / bands you played in / history with one more than the other? For what it’s worth, the 1985 Fender is my favorite of the two.

I've got a mid 80s JB special like that, but it's fretless and I put in EMG pups. If I had the two you have, I'd keep the special for the versatility. P bass is a one-trick pony. If that's what you want, that's what you want, of course.

The special for sure. Then again, I like basses with no pickguard, much cleaner and better looking in my opinion. Of course if one plays/sounds significantly better, that's the one to keep.

Ok so this is NOT a for sale post:
My amp is on the fritz yet again and so Its time for the new amp soon so please don't say "keep both"..
I enjoy playing these both equally, both sound and feel great and really hard to find.

-1985 Fender Jazz Special, all original and sought after painted neck. OR
-Squier Classic vibe precision that has a Fender 58 vintage pickup in it.

This is tough so please help!!
Thanks
