Indeed the Blue Dye is fantastic, I still wonder if it would be overkill.
To save a couple hundred bucks, I thought I settled on Tobacco Burst, but then I saw Sadowsky's Bora Burst, which is very close to Warmoth's blueburst. With a roasted neck, man that's killer!
I kind of feel like Brett Favre thinking about retirement…
Or how about the neck even…
Which has more "class"?
Roasted FLAME maple with cream dots
Or regular Roasted Maple with Pearl Blocks?
My thought process of blocks/vs dots is, that since blocks take up so much real estate on a fretboard, I don't like the idea of the sight of blocks taking away from a figured slab of wood. So with blocks, I'd rather go with a non-figured wood.
Match either of these with the Tobacco Burst body, which would have more of a "classy" look?
