Which funk effect?

The Fm4 seems to track really really well I've not tried it with a 5 string though.

To me it was very very good but I couldn't get the perfect filter sound that I wanted, not saying you won't but I couldn't.

I actually tried both this and a deep inpact on the same day and some patches come very very close to the deep inpact.

Hope this helps
Yes, it sure does.

There's such a huge void in the synth niche it seems. Admittedly I'd love a Deep Impact. But I refuse to pay 4 bills for it.

Really would love to find a reasonable alternative. Lookin' hard for somethin'. Maybe this'll be it.

I personally like the BassBalls.

not quite an envelope filter (eventhough they claim it is) more like a synth-wah with a little fuzz effect.

but the Q-tron is boss

The Bassballs is pretty funky. I'm happy with mine for the most part. The only downside is that for some reason it appears to have a mind of its own and one day it will refuse to work at all, and no matter what settings I change, all it will do is boost the lows when engaged, I'll change nothing, and the next day it decides that it will work again and back to the land of bootsy I go. When the dist. is turned on it can sound damn near like a talk box too.
