Hi all,

I tried to use the search engine, honest, but didn't come up with the info I wanted. So, I figure a description and pics will help to ID these old gut strings.

The D and G are purely red gut, with no windings on either end. The E and A have pale green and yellow at the tied end, and yellow only at the peg end. The E and A are metal wound (I guess with silver, based on the other posts) and are completely tarnished.

PS, My apologies for the spaghetti in the pegbox. That's how it came to me and I haven't done anything with the bass as yet...

Anyone know?

Thanks,

Paul
