I can get these three basses for the same price. I've played the SR300 and the SRX390 but not the Ergodyne. The SR300 is the newer one with the two soap bar pick-ups. I'm not really interested in any other basses, just these three. Thanks for the input.

you need to hold them and hear them if you are really torn. i got a bunch of old vintage ibanez basses and love them. i remember the ergodynes in the mid '90s were cool to me for the cost. never was a fan of the newer lines, but i would say they are all decent quality guitars. everyone's gonna have different opinions, but you need to touch them all and listen. you will be happiest that way.

Unfortunately asking this question is only going to get you MORE confused. It really has to come down to which you like the feel/sound of the most. Hell, if you like the look of one better then the other and thats the deciding factor... go with it! Whatever it is that makes you happy with what you have is whats important

OK guys thanks for all the input. I ended up getting a beautiful SR400 in a pawn shop today. Seems like these are all pretty similar from what you all are saying. The price was right so I jumped on it. I like that is as the mid boost too. Thanks again.

i own SR300 ROM '08 , SR505 BM '06 , SR755 BBTKF '10 ....i dislike the SRXs and the "newer" EDBs -which are NOTHING like the EDBs of the 90s- .....i like my SR300 ROM '08 BEST OF ALL....the "style sweeper" EQ is fun and usefull....it has all the proper ugrades as well. easy loading/string change/high mass bridge, xtra thin flat 5 PIECE neck WITH rosewood stripes....easy open battery box....2 band EQ with stacked knob, very nice IMHO,..also the NEW sparkle finishes are SWEEEET....

GOOD LUCK!
