i'd like to reacquaint myself with the alto sax, learn some more electric guitar, and perhaps even piano because piano plays so well with some songs, but bass will always be "it" for me.

piano. I mean piano for real . . . piano players think about music differently. plus I always wanted to play stride piano . . .

Trumpet. ....... I own one and can play a bit, but it's hard to play anything above a mid range scale. ...... Younger man's game. ...... The two hardest instruments to master are upright bass and trumpet, because they're hard on the body.
I got the upright down and I'm contend with that.

if I had to choose from any other instrument it would have to be drums. I have always wanted to be a drummer, but my parents didnt like the idea. I learned the next best thing BASS and I'm so glad I did
