Which is your favorite P Bass?

The one on the left. (obviously! ) It's the first bass I ever wanted to own…a Squier Standard Precision Bass Special, aka "My Sexy Beast". If it weren't for it's most-excellent Jazz-spec neck, I don't think I could've ever bonded with it. Except for the black pickguard screws, I've left it completely stock. Say what you will about Squiers, this particular bass kicks it something fierce!

I love my Lakland Bob Glaub which is 3TSB with tort and a Jazz neck and LaBella 760FS. It makes very nice sounds and is not real heavy,

A cheap Chinese P-Bass copy which I optimized and modified. The shape of the headstock is the most visible modification.

I have 3 P's.
- A '69 in Seafoam really floats my boat for looks. With Roto SS rounds and BadAss bridge has a woody resonance with great fingerstyle gnarl. Records superbly.
- a CIJ P with Sadowsky SS flats and mahogany risers under the pickups for extra meaty/woody tone great for loud rock. Pick + heavy attack, the guitarist calls it 'the freight train'.
- A Squier JV has that classic '62 sound, and growls nicely with Fodera Nickel rounds. Slaps great with a perfectly shaped shallow neck, and at 8.4lbs it's a dream to play live.
