Which is your favorite P Bass?

I gotta say what I imagine most players would say: Mine!

I'm sure there are nicer precision basses out there but I'm loving my RW 50's precision more and more. It's neck is the PERFECT size and shape for my hands, the more I use it, the better it looks, and I love the Fiesta Red color with the gold anodized pickguard. It plays better than a lot of Americans that I've played, including some really really nice ones, as well as vintage ones. I actually prefer the 50's reissue neck to the American Standard. It also sounds super rich and thumpy too, which I was honestly not expecting from the Mexican pickups. Very vintage and thick. It is truly a workhorse and can handle whatever I throw at it.

There are many like it, but this one is mine!

The one on the right is an original 73 P bass and the other two are parts P basses. They all sound awesome but the 73 has this Mojo that can't be replicated. I've tried too and the closest I've come is the P bass in my avatar pic (late 70's sunburst p bass body, steve harris pickups). Nothing will ever beat pure vintage. It's the whole package; body wood, pickups, neck, etc.

Yes. Charvels are awesome. I miss my 87 Charvel with the reverse P pickup.

Fender Sandblasted Precision. I also have the Sandblasted Jazz in red. Great basses and insanely light. I've seen the F bass with a similar finish, very classy. Love the bass you posted. Such a beautiful instrument.

Ah yes...I forgot about those. Very nice. One day I'm going to learn to do that finish.

Regarding mine - thank you. A potential buyer is coming to look at it tomorrow. Her replacement will be a J P J.

And I second that! I have several Am Ps, a couple Am Spec Ps, and a RW like yours, and it's become my frontline gigging bass due to its playability and sound.
