Please do yourself a favor and go play a few. Fender and otherwise. Buying a bass off e-bay because it looks cool when you're already concerned about the tone could end up being a huge waste of time money and effort. I've done that and it it no fun.

I wasn't gonna buy the one of ebay. I just thought they looked pretty cool with the new guard. I will not buy something I can't play first.
