which laptop is best for recording?

I second the new Ibook suggestions. I just bought one of the 14" 1 GHz machines last night and it blows my G4 733 Tower out of the water. Very good machines for the money.

Powerbook (G4,1gb ram,internal 80gb hdd,external 200 gb hdd)>Mbox

The mbox is completely USB powered so I could use it as a taping rig outside of my home studio! also the Mbox has focusrite preamps and comes with a nice lil software bundle.

you can' only do 2 channels at a time...but that will serve until I can afford to get a digi 002
