Thought the same thing, just put up all 3 for sale and keep the last one.

There seems to be no musical place where good old J doesn't fit like a glove. From reggae to indy pop to punk and country. It's a low-ender's Swiss Army knife.

My head tells me the Fender is the one to keep. My hands tell me the $$ is the one to keep. So most of you would say, "Then keep the $$." What worries me is showing up to a gig with the Warwick and being asked, "What the hell is that?":eek: "Get a Fender":crying:

Hey, that is a possibility, and I am not a Wick fan in the slightest, but it sounds as if thats the bass for you and I wouldn't really care about others' reactions. If you can play it they'll come around. You should be able to get rid of any two of the three without a lot of trouble.

Y'know, the 44-02 is incredibly versatile. One could say it's the, uh...what's that product again? Oh yeah, it's really the Swiss Army knife of bass tones.

The $$ does have a lot of sounds, but IME most of them aren't very memorable, and it certainly doesn't clone the traditional Fender tones the way the 44-02 does. I like the $$, but the 44-02 gives you so much in one package.

I voted the $$
Here's why:
I've had a couple of Jazz basses and as great as they are, they sound like a Jazz bass, period.

I never played a Lakeland so I know NOTHING of them.

I played a couple of $$'s and they feel nice. I prefer an HH bass over an HS or SS bass. That's just me. Kind of like why I love my G&L. It can sound like a Jazz bass, a Sterling, a P-bass...

And plus I LOVE the traditional Warwick tone.

See that's the ONLY problem I see in keeping the 'wick. My brother is like that (guitar player) He HATES any bass that looks like a piece of furniture, with all the quilt tops and wood grains showing, etc. I'm sure there are a LOT more people out there like that.
All you can do is plug in and blow them away.

If it HAS to be only one...Jazz for me pliz.

Edit: I´m not biased, i have owned Fender, Ibanez, Peavey, Yamaha, Warwick, Spector, Washburn (like it counts haha), my current pair of weapons are a 73´Jazz and a Spector Euro 4lx, the Spector gets almost all the gigging time...but i´ll say it again, if it has to be only one...
