If we're expanding this to non-bass related phrases, I'll nominate any phrase that starts with "hashtag" as in "#carrots". The real world does not talk like we're all on twitter.
(Also, # is not a "hashtag", it's a number sign. Get off my lawn.)
Also, stop starting sentences with the word "so".
Also, James Hetfield needs to learn how to sing without saying "yah!" at the end of every sentence.

No phrase really annoys me. What annoys me is when you have a paragraph or two posted and then someone pulls half of a sentence out of context and then does a variation on "there, fixed it for you". (And I realized that I'm setting myself up for some "fun" with this one.)

We’re not all in this together - especially when referring to the pandemic. For example, I still have a job and my income has not been disrupted...meanwhile there are people facing financial ruin. I’m not about to insult someone who has suffered due to the pandemic by somehow equalizing my situation with their’s.
Look, the USA was involved in WWI, but nobody in their right mind would say that the impact on us was the same as it was for Belgium.

There was a news story a few years ago where someone in a small town had gone to the courthouse complex in the middle of the night added quotes to the sign which said Department of Justice so it said Department of "Justice". It was even more hilarious because the district attorney was all angry about it and threatening people in the news over it with a red face like a smacked behind.
There are a few that bug me "Social Distancing". There's nothing social about it.

I would've thought it should be "physical distancing". Social distancing is like when I decide not to talk to somebody because I am angry at them.
