Which Should I Go With?

Hey guys, I was wondering which setup I should go with. I'm torn between either the new Gallien Krueger MB210 or getting a GK700RB head and match it with a Avatar 210(Obviously used rig). Rougly $600 is my budget right now. A 410 rig is out of the question because I have no way to transport it at the moment... any opinions? Thanks

Well, i would definitely tell you to go with the head and cab, but in the end it's ultimately
your decision.

Just to make it more difficult for you I'll say go with the combo.

I'll always suggest a head and cabs for the ability to mix and match for what the gig requires.
I recently went with "two", 8 ohm, Avatar Neo 210 cabinets for a vertical stacked 410 rig. I'm powering them with a G.K. MB2-500 head.
Use one cab for rehearsals/small gigs, both cabs when more volume and coverage is needed.

I'm so torn... I tried the Gallien Krueger MB210 today at guitar center and loved it. But I'm not sure if I should go with that or get a 700rb and a 210 cabinet. I didn't get the chance to try the 700rb. I have a feeling that if I go with the combo I'll be limited, and if I get the rig I'll have too much stuff. My band situation is I play with a drummer, guitarist and vocalist. We have gigs coming up but they're small bars and venues. Any help, I want to order this stuff asap. Thanks

Well, at least the 210 combo is equipped with an ext spkr jack. You could always "add on" later.

That's the way I looked at it. Picked up an MB210 for $539 from RMC audio as I needed an amp I could also use for upright bass but could hold its own with two guitars, drums and 3 vocalists. This drummer isn't very loud, but I used the upright bass and only had the volume halfway up at practice last weekend. The combo alone should be loud enough for most small gigs then add a 1x15 or 2x10 cab when you need more volume.
