Which strings do you use/like/prefer on your P Bass?

D’addario NYXL’s for rounds. They last a lot longer than regular nickels and have a very balanced sound. Not too much of anything.
I had a 5-string P, and like a lot of P basses, I didn’t find the tone of the low B notes to be very good/usable. When I threw on flats ( daddario chromes )it was a revelation! P is now one of my favorite 5 string tones now, after being at best situational, and at worst just a waste of a 5 string.
so… d’addario chromes or d’addario XL nickels, for me. I also like the old Fodera strings, I’m not sure how the new ones stack up

Dunlop Super Bright Stainless Steel or Nickel on my G&L Tribute LB-100, P-bass

to me it just depends on the "moment". I've used everything and still use everything changing what I prefer very often 
not only on the Precision.
right now I have three P basses:
1) Highway One (2009 with badass bridge) with GHS 3045L (40-95)
2) Classic 50 with Fender 9050L
3) Mike Dirnt with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky, nickel.
the Classic 50 changed "favorite" 4 times in the last months, the first being the Rotosound BS66 I have on other basses, then the La Bella 0760M, the Ernie 45-105, the Fender 7250M, the Rotosound FM66 and the GHS 3045L...
it sounded great with every set, and now it's working with the Fender flats, just because I wanted to retry it with flats that had less tension then La Bella Jamerson.
they'll probably change next month

Nice bass. D’Addario rounds XL 45-105 are what I like on my four string p bass
If you play through an Ampeg the quest is complete.
I'm currently using the Cobalt Flats on my 2010 Precision V and they're just fine. If I switched, I'd go back to DR Low Rider Nickels. I like them on my P-Bass.
I’ve tried just about every string on a PB at one time or another.
My goto strings for a PB are LaBella Copper White Nylons. Highly recommended.
For a traditional old school flatwound vibe I like GHS Precision (45-95) and LaBella Deep Talking (43-104) flats.
Just recently I put a set of Gibson flats (45-100) on a second PB and I think I may have found my preferred everyday flatwound. They’re a little darker sounding than the LaBellas they replace. Which is a plus for me. YMMV.

Actually, I don’t. But I do have the SGT-DI, which gives me either the SVT or the B15 vibe when called for. Fantastic pedal.
But then he has to decide whether to keep the 1N4007s and change the screen grid resistors from 22 ohms to 220 ohms or not. : ^ )

Over the years I have used so many different strings on my P-Basses - TI Jazz Flats, TI Jazz Rounds, Rotosound Swing Bass, D'Addario XL, Dean Markley Blue Steel, to name a few and I have found something I liked in all of these. It always sounds like a P-Bass but with slightly different flavour.
Currently my main P-Bass wears Dogal Jonas Hellborg roundwounds and the other P-Bass has Rotosound Swing Bass stainless steel strings, medium light gauge.

I have the Dogal JH172 Flats on a Rick 4003 and on a Stingray. Not cheap at ~$150 per set but worth it. The Dogals are truly next level strings.
If I didn't love the GHS Precision flats so much on my P-Bass, I would get the Dogal JH172 for it too. I know they would be amazing on a P-Bass.
thomastik infeld flat bass strings... 5 strings for this brand are $140+USD???!!!!! Yikes!
Right now I'm testing Elixir 45-130's because my guy at Chicago Music Exchange gave them to me to try. Not bad, but they've only been on for a few days. However biggest pain in the ssa is having to remove the pick guard to adjust the neck relief.

+1 for Rotosound RS77 flatwounds. They have a great upper mid bark that cuts right through in a dense mix. I used rounds for a long time and one day gave the flats a go and they sat perfect in my two guitar band.
They have been the string of choice on a P used on things from the Cure, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, the Police, Queen, and on a Jazz Bass by the great John Paul Jones.
Tension is a bit higher than most but set the action low and they are a dream to play.
If flats aren’t your thing there is always the RS66 roundwound- used by Geddy Lee, Jaco, Chris Squire, John Wetton in King Crimson, JPJ on Zep III, Jaco, among many others.
