This might be a little too late to bring up but, I think the part of icons we've seen, should of been limited to those we can't see anymore, ether because they retired from playing or died.
For instance a lot of guys posted they've seen B.B. King. Icon? Of course, but he still tours regularly and you can still catch his shows. Muddy Waters, icon. But last I heard, he ain't touring.

Okay, this is going a bit off track. :scowl:
Think "knighted by the queen"... Kennedy Center honoree... Congressional Medal of Honor... had entire towns renamed after him/her... the subject of a PBS "American Masters" profile... discussed in children's schoolbooks throughout the land... a household name to everyone from your average, run-of-the-mill teenager to your 89-year-old aunt... you get the idea...
