If you don’t need to move it, there’s plenty of old school cabs in the used market for $200 or less. I see Hartke, SWR, Peavey, Fender, Kustom (tuck and roll!!), Ampeg, and Acoustic cabs in various configurations up for sale all the time.
Facebook Market Place seems to be chock full of older heavier gear. Especially cabs. Unlike online purchases between FBM and Craigslist there’s some decent deals. Unlike online you can look at the stuff first before you purchase it.
Some of its beat and flogged hard. Other stuff is quite respectable. Sometimes your meeting with the original owner and get the entire history.
FBM in particular has been pretty good for me.
This applies more if you’re not planning on gigging or moving the stuff. It’s hard to recommend a 100 pound cab. But at least in my area there’s a LOT of used bass gear. Cheap as chips as someone put it.
Buried in the classifieds are my 2 LDS 2 x 10 cabs for $200.00 each. If one has to have them shipped tho' that'd likely bust that price point. BUT, they've given me since 2009, years of onstage bliss. Plus, 2 extra factory (in boxes) 2-10" speakers because I was always worried about busting something.
If buying a cab with multiple drivers, make sure they're all working. I once had a 2x10 that sounded fine on first test but later realized one of them wasn't putting out sound, turned out the magnet had actually broken somehow, had to replace the speaker.
